What even is a Zavmet?

A Zavmet is an original species created by yours truly in Febuary of 2025. They are furries, yes, and are inspired by necromorphs from dead space! They are a %100 open species, meaning you can create your own without needing to ask. (I don't see these guys getting popular at all, but in the small chance they do, yes, you can make a fursuit of one and sell merch lol)

APPEARANCE/DESIGN

Zavmets ( rachiokephale cynocephalus ) are bipedal canine creatures with digitigrade legs.. They are naturally shades of brown or grey, however many prefer to dye their fur vibrant colors. They have stripes along their back and arms. One stripe goes horizontally from one side of the top of the snout to the other.They have milky white eyes, which are practically blind. Their vision is just very blurry. On the chance a zavmet is born with functioning eyes, they appear most close to a wolf's eyes.

Their index finger is extremelty elongated into a boney scythe like shape. In the place of where a normal canines ears are, there are two parts of a cervical vertebrae. These are useless and at most function like horns. Despite the lack of ears, they can still hear, just with little holes right at the base of the head vertebrae. Attached to the back of each side of the upper jaw, there are two fleshy, almost mandible like growths. They have one row of flat teeth, most resembling the ones of humans. These, like the head vertebrae, serve no purpose. They can't even move, they kind of just dangle there. On the back, the spinous process are elongated and protude out of their back. These have grown to be almost rock-solid.

Their tails are completely devoid of any skin, nerves, or fur. It's just pure bone. At the base of the tail, is what at some point was the skin and fur covering the tail. Over the years it has managed to seperate itself completely from the tail, aswell as shorten in length. It just dangles there, doesn't do anything. Often zavmets just cutt it off completely.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHILE DESIGNING A ZAVMET

• They can wear clothes of any fashion! Clothing is common, aswell as being nakey. Neither is seen as indecent, as zavmets have no external genetalia. Wearing clothes is as common as someone piercing their ears.
• Zavmets do not really have big gender norms, meaning that there is no such thing as "girly" or "boyish" stuff, and trans n nonbinary zavmets are common. No one really gaf!!

I innitianly had this section filled with a bunch of random lore pulled out of my bum. It wasn't good, and honestly, I made Zavmets without any lore in mind. So go ham. Don't let anything constrain you!!! There is no lore.
